Innovative International fixture stymied by fast ground conditions

Further to a course inspection at lunchtime today, it has been decided to abandon the International Racing Club meeting scheduled for next Sunday, 11th December. After a very dry week, the course is barely raceable today. The weather forecast is for another cold, dry week with no rain, which sadly indicates that the course will dry further and be unfit for racing by next Sunday.

The meeting organisers therefore considered that it wass only fair to participants to allow them the opportunity to run and enter at other meetings, this weekend and next.

The International, previously run at Barbury, was a welcome new addition to the Cotswold fixture list, making 4 fixtures in the Pre and around Christmas period. It is hoped the fixture can return for 2023 with a less difficult weather preparation.
